Damage to structural timber framework in homes is often concealed behind wall sheeting and floor coverings and in difficult to access spaces such as roof and subfloor voids, with many home owners unaware of damage being sustained in their dwellings.

Termite damage to homes and outlying structures such as sheds, pergolas and retaining walls is not covered under building insurance policies. Failure to detect damage and penetration prior to a sale can leave a buyer liable to substantial costs involved with termite eradication and structural repairs.
